Booking FAQs

All the shelters and dates are grey

The period you have selected is not open for bookings. Bookings can be made a minimum of 3 days in advance and a maximum of 3 months in advance.

The shelter I want has an X on it

When a shelter has already been hired or is not available, an X will appear under the date. Please select another shelter or date for your booking.

It won't let me change the hire times

The hire times and booking type are selected at the start of the booking process and can not be changed once you proceed through the checkout phase. Please go back to the beginning of the booking process and update your hire times.

I want to change my booking type

The booking type is selected at the start of the booking process. Please go back to the start and select the correct booking type.

I can't select the date I want

The period you have selected is not open for bookings. Bookings can be made a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 90 days from today.

How do you stop people using my shelter?

We will place a reservation sign at the hired shelter so that other park users are aware that the shelter has been booked. Our ranger team manages bookings and will be able to assist if there are any issues. 

Do I have to pay with a credit card?

Yes all bookings are required to be paid in full with a valid credit card at the time of the booking. No other payment methods are available.

Can I swap the shelter / area that I have booked?

You are not able to change the shelter or area you have hired once your booking has been confirmed. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information. 

Can I cancel my booking?

To cancel your booking, you will need to email your request to bookings@ppt.nsw.gov.au quoting your booking number, area and date. Cancellation fees do apply and vary depending on the notice provided. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information. 

Can I decorate the shelter?

You are able to decorate the shelter with streamers, balloons (not helium), signs and similar decorations. All decorations must be attached with string or streamers and must be fully removed after your booking. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information.
